Jared Padalecki Backs This Type Of Family Business

It’s great to see Jared back and supporting the things he cares about. He’s again hoping that we can all make a difference on mass, aka, Fandom Power. Hiatus from the show has meant that fun and family for both Jared and Jensen, has been a priority, so being quiet on social media was not unexpected, but hiatus also meant that after their family break, the supernatural Actors could touch base with fans and the fandom again via conventions. It even looked like they would be visiting Australia again after a long absence, but alas that wasn’t meant to be. Sad for Hub Productions, who, no doubt would have worked…

Jensen Talks About Harnessing Fandom Power

Like his colleagues before him, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, Jensen is finally on board with using Fandom Power For Good. Talking to Variety, he says there were many causes he’d like to help, but none he was over-the-top passionate about, so joining his buddy Jared in the “Always Keep Fighting” campaign was like “testing the waters”. With such a great response, it inspired them to make sure that any money raised  would continue for years to come. “Instead of just for one particular cause or one particular charity, let’s see if we can’t raise money and then throughout the year get involved with multiple charities and multiple funds.” While…

Jared and Jensen… Make The World a Better Place Campaign

Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles are going into another type of family business, together. The SPN Family Business. It seems that this could be one of the first steps towards setting up a non-for-profit organization, similar to Random Acts. Their co-star Misha Collins has harnessed the power of fandom for a long time and it looks like Jared and Jensen are now following in his foot steps. Chances are, if you’re a member of the SPN Family, you know about Jared’s original ‘Always Keep Fighting’ Campaign. Encouraged by Arrow’s Stephen Amell to start the T-Shirt drive, Jared sold over 40 000 and raised over two hundred thousands of dollars for…

Auction: Skype Meet and Greet! SPN Family asked again to fight a good fight

EDIT: Unfortunately the auction is over… It went for under $100 which is sad for TWLOHA but very exciting for the winning bidder… Wish I’d had the money to bid. 🙂   Now, this is what I am talking about! The use of fandom power, for a cause! Calling on all die-hard Supernatural fans, collectively known as the SPN Family. Chad Lindberg and Samantha Ferris are offering their time for a great cause. TO WRITE LOVE ON HER ARMS This is the same charity Jared Padalecki took up arms against in his, Always Keep Fighting, campaign. Unlike Jared’s T-Shirt campaign (although, one of many things Jared did give away…

    Arrow/Supernatural crossover for charity?

In the video, Stephen talks about pitching a crossover with Supernatural the day before and he isn’t joking. He broached the previously forbidden subject of fanfiction and thinks it would be an awesome idea to film a web episode with Jared and Jensen for charity. (Skip to around 20:40) I for one, would pay to see that! Would you?

    Jared’s 11th Hour Incentive

Let’s get real. Jared pulled out all stops to raise money for his Always Keep Fighting Campaign.  He literally gave of himself, his time and his property. From Supernatural scripts, Skype calls, through to the shirt off his back. Well, one that had been on his back, anyhow. Jared calls them ‘incentives’ and it works. His campaign is closed now, but by selling over 40,000 shirts, he has helped To Write Love On Her Arms, probably in ways they could never have imagined. This is fandom power at it’s best. I get the feeling this won’t be the last time, Jared rallies the Supernatural Fandom to give.
